Caride v. Altman, No. MER-C-000026-22 (N.J. Ch. Ct.)

On March 9, 2022, Plaintiff Marlene Caride, acting as director of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance, and Plaintiff New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance filed a Complaint seeking declaratory and injunctive relief in the Superior Court of New Jersey Chancery Division, docket no. MER-C-000026-22, naming the Rehabilitator, the Special Deputy Rehabilitator, and Senior Health Insurance Company of Pennsylvania (In Rehabilitation) as Defendants. The case was removed to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey at docket number 3:22-cv-01329, but the federal court remanded the matter back to state court, where it remains pending today.
